I went to a buffet
with some fellow hungry souls
      (poor things)

Dining in the smoke dimmed restaurant
            our faces deteriorated
Slabs of meat filling into the dish
      Till tendons showed,
the soup leaked out of our jaw
      our faces dotted with white
            (I had the shinnest cheekbones)
and the flies forgot our meals
            feasted on us instead
But we saw nothing through the smoke

Dessert came
      we ravaged the pills
Shoved mouthful after mouthful
      of purple
till our bleeding afaces were numb
forgetting they dried a while ago

We paid the check and
the restaurant paid us back
with strange fortune cookies
and weird looks

Then our yellow eyes
      tried to follow the road
      But we were too melancholic
to care

The whole time
we never considered helping each other

But... let’s forget
      And drown together
            It’ll be romantic.
(The buffet will convince you.)
