with their blood and sweat

Yet our hunger for gold

has brought upon

      illuminated society

While watching the

      Wash dot D dot C dot

puppet show

The machine filled

with sedated gears

whimpered under the

information bombardment from

the leading political actors launching

weapons of mass

attention misdirection

distracting away

from the circus caucus cocking us

televangelical News

measuring life by dollar signs

push the curtain shut

clouding ears with

endless consumption of curiosity

without love or liberty

shutting eyes with

esoteric guess work on depression

without compassion or peace

We have the material power

yet no mental wisdom

We dare call ourselves

Kings & Queens of Earth

when we forget to be servants

such adolescent indulgent insolence.
