Beach

Sand dug into my nails

as I dug my way to the beach

(LAND!)

Away from an ocean

of distorted dreams and illusions

Red and purple in color

I turned and saw

      friends testing the water

tiptoeing and some

      some even dared to (swim(!))

I almost drowned

Yet how could I disturb

      the bravery of swimmers?
