Moo

A magnificent tear
magnified the stars
and the pains on his face
As he fed the prettiest rose
      to a cow

Watching teeth turn flower to mulch
Like the girl’s heels on his heart

The cow absentmindedly chewed
noting only the bitterness and thorns

Oblivious to the woes of man

If only we were all cows.
